<p>But before we proceed to learning about these effective yet more affordable procedures, we must first learn about those that are being sold in the market as the &#8220;ultimate&#8221; scar removal solutions but in reality are not effective at all or does not have any actual proof of their effectiveness</p>
<p>There are a ton of products, methods and procedures out there that are easily accessible by the average person but unfortunately, most of them are bogus and do not provide any clinical proof as far as their scar treating claims are concerned.</p>

<p>Other choices like anti scar products based on such ingredients like lime juice, cocoa, cucumber and aloe vera exist but no exact proof or trials have been done to give you an idea about their clinical efficacy in helping cure scars.</p>
<p>However, one relatively affordable method/product available to the average Joe involve the use of silicone. Either in sheet, cream or gel form, they have been shown to effectively enhance the appearance of scars. Most especially for keloid or hypertrophic scarring issues. There have been trials to back up this claim and hence, silicone sheet scar treatment have since been regarded as the gold standard in scar removal arena.</p>
<p>Silicone sheeting is better because it is not invasive and is quite painless and most especially, relatively cheaper compared to other options that work. This approach is especially more effective if used early in the wound healing process and is used extensively in treating burn injuries.</p>
<p>Treating scars does not have to involve surgical methods that cost a fortune. There are other methods that involve easier and more affordable methods such as silicone sheets, gel and creams that have been demonstrated to work through scientific/clinical trials.</p>
